Inaugurated in November 2001, The Patek Philippe Museum is the culmination of a passion for timepieces that spans three generations within the Stern family. The collection illustrates the evolution of watchmaking since the 16th century and the mastery of Patek Philippe from its foundation in 1839 - making it the most prestigious and complete private horological collection in the world.

The Patek Philippe Museum chose b-i to develop a logo and a complete corporate identity which would evoke the prestige, sophistication and timelessness of its collection. We then helped launch the museum by producing various collateral, a Web site and an integrated communications campaign. Our work for the Patek Museum covers several disciplines, including:

branding & communication - b-i worked closely with Patek Philippe to clearly understand both the parent brand and also the mission, image goals and various target demographics of the museum. Armed with this knowledge, we developed a logo and corporate identity for the museum. We also delivered a complete brand style guide.

collateral development - b-i adapted the identity to create various collateral, including flyers, VIP passes, entry tickets, shopping bags, brochures, signage, as well as print and outdoor advertising material.

web site development - the b-i team worked closely with Patek Philippe to design and build a stylish, usable, and informative Web site for the museum. The site includes many elegant Flash animations, such as a 3-D floorplan of the museum and a timeline with dynamic objects.

interactive kiosks - we created interactive kiosk applications that run in the museum library and that allow visitors to virtually browse through ancient manuscripts. We have also produced animated multimedia presentations used to promote the museum abroad.

information technology support - b-i also provided the installation, configuration and on-going maintenance for all the IT infrastructure of the museum, such as the deployment of workstations on Windows2000 and Office XP, configuration of internet / email, printers, server back-ups, and the installation of the NetBiblio, reference library.
