Needs Analysis - Reuters sales staff wanted an online tool to help them demonstrate and sell their real-time data distribution services. The sales staff was convinced that the most compelling approach was to be able to show the actual services, in "live action". The solution needed to be secure, compelling, integrated with various Reuters data sources, and easily administered. We concluded that the sales staff needed a secure sales extranet into which they could login and demonstrate products, including tightly-integrated promotional marketing content.

User Experience Development - b-i user experience designers spent time with Reuters' sales staff and other stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of their needs, including their sales model, typical sales process, and customer feedback. We designed a site with a straightforward but non-linear navigational model that would support the unpredictable nature of Reuters' field sales calls with prospective clients.

Application and Site Development - b-i template engineer and software engineers built a new sales site that incorporated Reuter's actual data feed products and associated software developer kits (SDKs). We also integrated an easily-managed access control system, which allowed administrators to create, change, and delete user access using simple Web forms. In line with Reuters' internal IT standards, we delivered the solution on Microsoft IIS and SQL Server, and we developed various integration functionality using Java.

Creative Development - b-i creative designer and content developers produced a clean, elegant, and modern site design and navigation elements for the Reuters Markets Monitor Web site and RMMxi Xtra Companion application.
